Okay... I decided that I wanted to answer my own questions.. (I'm at school, waiting for class, and bored out of my mind.. so.. :D)
1. What would your perfect proposal consist of?
I know every girl has dreamed of going out to dinner, fancy dishes, candlelight, classical music... but that is definitely not me!! I want to be outside! Or get engaged at Christmas... Or my birthday.. :D hahaha!! I don't really care were I am, but I do want to be with family and friends!
2. If you could be the richest, smartest, or prettiest person in the world, which would you choose?
As long as I was the happiest, I really don't care.. but if I had to choose, I would choose smartest..
3. What song describes your life? and why?
Ummm..... Hope Now by Addison Road, or While I'm Waiting by John Waller (Fireproof movie)
Why??.... "How quickly I forget, I'm yours.. I'm not my own, I've been carried by you, all my life. Everything rides on hope now.. Everything rides on faith somehow, when the world has broken me down, your love sets me free" (Hope Now)
"I will move ahead bold and confident, taking every step in obedience, while I'm waiting, I will serve you while I'm waiting. I will worship while I'm waiting, I will not faint, I'll be running the race, even while I wait." (While I'm Waiting)
(That pretty much sums it up..)
4. What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie... too many to list!! :D No... it would probably be The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
5. Would you rather be loved or respected?
I think they go hand in hand. You can't truly love someone you don't respect, and you can't respect someone you don't love. (and yes, I know I danced around that one..)
6. You're going on your first date, what are you wearing?
Jeans. T-shirt. NO shoes!!
7. If given the choice, would you rather fit in or stand up for what you know?
I would NOT want to fit in! (How do you think I came up with the name for my blog??!!)
At times, I don't enjoy standing up or standing out, but I don't think I ever want to fit in.
8. What is the scripture verse that has changed your life?
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
..perhaps... love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath. - Anne of Avonlea

1. If you had to choose, would you rather be blind or deaf?
I don't know if I could choose.. I love them equally. I probably would have to say deaf. Just because you can learn to communicate and still function read lips or sign-language.. but if you are blind, the only thing you can do is read Braille... you can't see any colors, people, navigate, etc. You become totally dependant on others. If you were deaf you could still function, just not as enjoyable, but still function without relying on others for everything.
2. What is your favorite part about blogging?
Just being able to vent and not having to worry about offending people or just get my thoughts down on "paper."
3. What is your favorite book and why?
I would have to say Arena by Karen Hancock
4. Why DID the chicken cross the road?
Now is this an in-town street, farm road, highway..??? :)
5. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I think I want what every girl wants. I want to of course get married and have kids, but If I could have ANY job, I'd have to say that I would LOVE to be a photographer.. Probably more of a nature/wildlife/travel photographer instead of "people".. :D
6. Think about your day. (Or yesterday if you're reading this early in the morning.) Think through everything that happened to you during the day... people you met, things you discovered, interesting events. Now pick one thing and describe it for me in as much detail as you can. Whether you were skydiving or picking out a muffin, I want to hear about it.
This is a hard one... I worked all day and didn't really do anything exciting.. I found a setting on my camera (on my phone) that let's me take symmetrical pictures.. I've been going around the house taking pictures of random stuff.. (my dad, mom, brothers, the dog, chairs.. etc..).. It's quite entertaining!
7. What do you think of Nancy Drew? Do you consider her a good role model? What do you think of the movies (Old movie with Bonita Granville and new with Emma Roberts) and the computer games?
I LOVE Nancy Drew!!! Not sure about a good role model.. she never really *thinks* before jumping into a situation.. I like both movies.. If I'm in an "old" movie spot, I like the older ones... If I'm in a "I need to see a cute guy" spot, I like the new one!! :D
And I LOVE the games!! I own 5 of them and have beaten all but 2 out of 20(ish)!
8. If someone offered you a hundred dollar bill to do it, would you sing an entire song, without music, in a crowded restaurant?
What kind of restaurant are we talking about? Is it a fast food joint? Fancy-real-napkins restaurant? Tea Room? Hole-in-the-wall? And how loud do I have to sing? How long of a song does it have to be?
~~~Because I would only do this if I didn't have to "shout" out the song, and if it was something small like Mary Had a Little Lamb, Twinkle-Twinkle, Little Star, ABC's, etc... (and if I could do those songs, I would do it pretty much anyplace!! hahahaha!!)
And since I only have one "follower" and she's the one that tagged me.. I can't tag anyone with my questions! :)
Wow.. Didn't think that I would be ready to write more this soon! :)
I still don't know what I want to blog about.. I guess this is going to be random! (But that's what I'm good at, so I guess things will work out!)
I recently read "Never the Bride" (by Rene Gutteridge and Cheryl McKay). I'm not at the point in my life where I'll start acting like Jessie, but I do find myself writing out my own love story. Funny thing is... I love writing in purple ink (if you've read the book, what I'm saying will make sense)! The reason I'm bringing this up is, I want the relationship with God that Jessie has. I know God doesn't appear to us like He did to her, but I can't help but wonder how different my life would be if that would happen to me. God showing up and telling me that He has a special plan for ME and that it's time to surrender my "purple pen" to Him and let Him write my story the way it's meant to be.
I guess this is more of an "about me" post instead of a first blog post. I don't know why I'm starting this. Blogging is certainly something I never pictured myself doing, but I just feel like this is what I need to do at this point in my life.
The reason I'm calling this "Born to Stand Out" is because of my favorite movie quote: Why are you trying so hard to fit in, when you were born to stand out?" (What a Girl Wants) I never fit in when I was growing up. I wasn't the type of girl that would giggle, worry about her hair or make-up, or talk about boys, so none of the girls my age wanted to spend time with me. I didn't understand until later on that I wasn't born to fit in. I was born to stand out.
